Your formula is ready
=ÇOKETOPLA(B2:B100;B2:B100;">10000")English Excel
=SUMIFS(B2:B100,B2:B100,">10000")The difference is not only the function name: Turkish Excel separates arguments with semicolons, English Excel with commas.
A small example
| A — Rep | B — Sales (TRY) | |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Ayşe Yıldız | 12,500 |
| 3 | Mehmet Kaya | 7,800 |
| 4 | Zeynep Ak | 15,200 |
| D2 | Result of the formula | 27,700 |
The column letters and row numbers are real spreadsheet coordinates, so you can line them up with your own sheet.
Step by step
- The first range (`B2:B100`) is the column to be SUMMED — the result comes from the numbers in it.
- The second range (`B2:B100`) is the column the CONDITION is tested against. Here they are the same: both the test and the total live in the sales column.
- The criterion goes inside quotes: `">10000"`. Without them Excel reads it as a name and returns #NAME?.
- In the example 12,500 and 15,200 clear the threshold and are added; 7,800 does not, so it stays out: 27,700.
- To read the threshold from a cell instead: `">"&E1` — it joins the operator to the cell so the number is not buried in the formula.
Common errors
- #NAME?
The function name does not exist in that language of Excel, or the criterion was written without quotes. Type `ÇOKETOPLA` in an English Excel and you get exactly this.
- 0 (not an error, but wrong)
If the amount column is stored as text, no row clears the threshold. Check whether the cells are right-aligned; if they are not, convert the column to Number format.
Google Sheets difference
In Google Sheets the same formula works as `SUMIFS` with commas; Sheets never translates function names, not even in a localised interface.
